Technical characteristics
Salt chlorinator Astralpool Chlore Smart 30:
AstralPool has added a new line of equipment for residential pools to its current range of salt electrolysis equipment under the name AstralPool Chlore, giving them better technological features. Salt chlorinator for pools of less than 20 m3. With a production capacity of 5-6 grams of chlorine per hour, electrodes with a life of 10,000 hours in laboratory conditions and 3,000-5,000 hours in normal conditions.
Average equipment of the range. Possibility of adapting three external controls: Redox control, cover and flow switch.
Equipped as standard with:
- Bubble Detector and 50mm - 1/2" inlet collar
- Salinity alarm that indicates by means of leds the necessary levels of salt addition
- Electrodes with a life of 10000 hours in laboratory conditions, and 3000-5000 hours in normal conditions.
- It also has an automatic system that prevents the formation of incrustations in the electrolysis cell, programmable for 2/3 hours.
Healthier and healthier water
Salt electrolysis systems provide a new concept in swimming pool treatment, improving water quality, avoiding the handling of chemical products and simplifying maintenance tasks. Water treatment by electrolysis is a closed cycle in which there is no minimum salt consumption. Salt electrolysis systems generate chlorine from the common salt dissolved in the water. The chlorine generated destroys organic matter and pathogens in the water and is transformed back into salt.
The antiseptic properties of brackish water have been well known since ancient times, especially for the treatment of eye, skin, nose and ear irritations. With electrolysis, skin and eye irritations no longer occur. In addition, the smell and taste of chlorine in the pool is completely eliminated.
How salt electrolysis works
It is sufficient to dilute a small amount of salt in the pool water (6 g/l) at the beginning of the season. Subsequently, only small salt replenishments should be made according to the water losses during the filter washings.
When the salt water passes through the electrodes, salt electrolysis converts the salt into an active disinfectant, sodium hypochlorite, which destroys algae, bacteria and fungi and oxidises organic waste (it is advisable to dose CTX 400 chlorine stabiliser).
This disinfectant is converted back into salt, thus renewing the cycle without any loss of salt.
An environmentally friendly and totally safe system
The use of salt electrolysis systems produces considerable daily water savings (up to 5% of the total volume of the pool) due to the non-generation of residual cyanuric acid. Their widespread use will reduce the environmental impact of the chlorine and chlorine derivatives industry.
There are no risks of transport, storage or handling of chemical products as there is no need to handle and store chlorine. The electrolysis system is totally safe as it works with a maximum voltage of 10V, similar to that of a light bulb. The system allows to generate chlorine "in-situ" automatically and safely.
The system can be installed in any swimming pool without the need for building work and is very easy to use.
