It can be applied, withor without reinforcement, on concrete, mortar, stone, fibre cement surfaces and is suitable for:

• Waterproofing of tanks, swimming pools, canals, etc.
• Interior waterproofing of basements.
• Exterior waterproofing of buried walls.
• Repair and protection of surfaces exposed to the action of ice and de-icing salts: bridge parapets, terrace and roof overhangs, cornices, etc.
• Protection of concrete structures in marine environments.

Application Sika monotop 107 without reinforcement

Use a notched trowel with 3-4 mm teeth.The first coat is applied with the serrated edge and the second with the smooth edge, following the direction of the grooves.
It can also be applied by brush with the same consumption.
The second coat of mortar should be applied when the first has hardened sufficiently, generally 24 hours after the first coat has been applied.
Sika® MonoTop®-107 Seal should be spread as evenly as possible, avoiding accumulation of material in the corners, cavities or crevices where cracks could appear.

Application Sika monotop 107 with reinforcement

The coatings of Sika® MonoTop®-107 Seal reinforced with ArmaTop®-100, an anti-alkaline fibreglass mesh, are capable of absorbing certain movements that may occur in the element on which they are applied, as well as acting as a bridge in the event that the substrate presents shrinkage cracks.
The reinforcement must be carefully placed, avoiding any occlusion of air by the formation of folds or pockets in the fibreglass mesh. The bond between fibreglass meshes must be made by overlapping with a width between 3 and 5 cm.
The amount of Sika® MonoTop®-107 Seal to be applied must be the amount necessary to completely cover the reinforcement.
