The use of the Blue Lagoon UV-C Timer 40W together with other disinfectants allows you to eliminate bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, and with this combination of ultraviolet and disinfectants, you will now have a significant reduction in chemical dosage.

The unit is equipped with a stainless steel frame which ensures the reflection of the UV-C rays, thus increasing the efficiency of the unit.

This device produces harmful radiation. Direct contact can be hazardous to eyes and skin. Therefore, the operation of the UV-C lamp should only be checked through the transparent parts of the device.

why use an Ultraviolet system?

UV-C light is a very powerful germicide, highly effective in eliminating micro-organisms that chlorine treatments are not capable of eliminating on their own.

However, UV-C cannot be used on its own, as although ultraviolet light does a large part of the water disinfection, there will always be contaminating micro-organisms left in the pool.

However, the use of other types of disinfectants would be in a much lower percentage than what would normally be used, since, as we have already mentioned, a large part of the disinfection would be carried out by the ultraviolet lamp.
