Technical characteristics

what is pH?

The result of a pH measurement is determined by the number of protons (H+ ions) and the number of hydroxyl ions (OH-) present in the water. When the number of protons equals the number of hydroxyl ions, the water is neutral. It will then have a pH of 7.

The pH is a very important factor, because certain chemical processes can only take place at a certain pH.

For example, chlorine disinfection reactions in swimming pool water only take place to an optimum degree when the pH value is between 7.2 and 7.6 units.

The pH of the water can vary between 0 and 14 according to the established scale.

When the pH of the water is higher than 7, it is basic water. When the pH is below 7, the water is acidic.

The pH of water can be modified by the addition and dissolution of acidic or basic substances (ph correctors).

how much ph-reducer should I dose into my pool?

The dosage is 1.5 kg to raise 0.2 units in 100 m3.

Let's imagine that we have a pool of 50 m3 and the ph is at 8.0 and we want to reduce it to 7.2, we will apply 2 rules of 3:

a) Calculation of the quantity for pools of 100 m3.

1,5 kg---------0,2units
X--------------0,8units X= 6kg for 100 m3

b) Calculation for 50 m3.
6kg ----------100m3
X-------------- 50 m3 X= 3 kg for 50 m3

how do I dose the ph-reducer?

Without the presence of bathers in the pool, pour the required dose of product into a container with water, adding this solution to the surface of the pool evenly.
