Technisch kenmerken

Korrelgrootte vuursteenzand 0,4-0,8 mm

Zandfilters zijn de meest gebruikte elementen voor de filtratie van water met een lage of gemiddelde belasting aan vervuilende stoffen, waarbij deeltjes tot twintig micron moeten worden tegengehouden. De zwevende deeltjes in het water worden vastgehouden terwijl ze door een zandfilterbed gaan. Als de filter eenmaal belast is met onzuiverheden en een vooraf ingestelde drukval bereikt heeft, kan hij geregenereerd worden door terugspoelen.

De kwaliteit van de filtratie hangt af van verschillende parameters, waaronder de vorm van de filter, de hoogte van het filterbed, de kenmerken en granulometrie van de filtermassa, de filtratiesnelheid, enz.

Dit zand wordt geleverd in zakken van 25 kg.
